This is a very fine condition Trantor in its original case, which is serial numbered to the gun 50071. it was built in 1874. .450 center fire cal. It is numbered inside the lid near the left hinge. The case has original varnish and a very fine Dealer label William Moore and Grey Gun Manufacturers 43 Old Bond, London. The bore is mirror bright with very strong rifling and grooves. There is no black powder corrosion, bore is very strong. The gun is highly engraved and retains 95+% of its original blue. The Cylinder retains 50% thinning blue turning to patina. The gun has a interesting marking on the top of the barrel. It reads "Examined by Wm Moore & Grey 43 Old Bond Street London". The grips are in very good condition with very few flattened diamonds in the wood. This cased set is hard to improve on.
