Serial # 245. .36 cal percussion 3 1/2" barrel with near excellent bore which is bright but shows sparse minor pitting. Barrel retains 92% original blue the loss only due to some very minor flaking and high edge wear. The loading lever and frame have mostly flaked to a gray and deep brown patina, retaining 30% original deep blue. The cylinder is mostly a brown and pewter patina with generous traces of original blue. Hammer shows excellent case colors and the trigger guard retains 90% original silver plate. The smooth walnut grips are pencil numbered to the gun. The mechanism times and locks up perfectly. this is a nice short barreled New Model Police. This gun was formerly in the Dan Schlegel collection.
